Royal Falkland Islands Police Domestic Abuse Awareness Training
Written for The Falkland Islands Chamber of Commerce as advertisement in conjunction with The Royal Falkland Islands Police.
The Falkland Islands Government and Royal Falkland Islands Police are re-launching their Domestic Abuse Awareness Project on the anniversary of the original launch in the coming weeks.
This project includes free Domestic Abuse Awareness training sessions in the Chamber of Commerce Board Room, these sessions will run over most of a working day from 9am on a daily basis from Monday the 11th of November to Friday the 15th and will involve a film, discussion, and role play.
While the subject matter of the project is a difficult one, campaigns such as these help to bring the sensitive issue of Domestic Abuse to the forefront of dialogue so that social consciousness can be altered, with the end goal of educating the community about Domestic Abuse while encouraging people to take action to end abuse and alert survivors to the options and resources that are available to them in the Islands.
The Royal Falkland Islands Police are eager to involve both the Government and Private sector in their training sessions, which run daily through Monday the 11th of November to Friday the 15th of November from 9am onwards at the Chamber of Commerce Board Room. These sessions are free, and all that is required is your time to come to the session.
